This class will focus on using cold connections to join metals together and to embellish your metal components. We will make as many cold joints as time allows in this two day class. Here are the possibilities:

Wire rivets
Tube rivets
Tabs
Screws and bolts
Eyelets
Brads
Sliding rivets
Staples

The necklace above illustrates each one of these cold joints. You will also learn to saw, file, stamp, and drill - all important skills for red hot mamas. It is important to have at least basic wire skills before taking this class.

What to bring to class:

* Round nose pliers
* Flat nose pliers
* Chain nose pliers
* Flush or semi-flush cutters
* Horn anvil (6 lbs. is best). One available to borrow per table of 4.
   Ball peen hammer
   Rawhide mallet
* Needle files
* 8 inch half-round second cut file
   6 inch ruler
   6 inch Jeweler's saw
   Saw blades 2/0 and 5/0
   Bench pin and anvil
   Center punch
   Riveting hammer
   Particulate mask
   Design stamps (you can borrow mine)
   Sharpie/indelible pen
   Selection of beads for a bracelet or necklace
   Note book to take notes
   Copy of Seller's permit if you want to avoid paying tax on
    beads and wire

Silver Wire, Sheet, & Tubing:
   3 feet 16 G dead soft, sterling silver round wire
   Sheet Metal 20, 22, or 24 G (available for purchase in class)
   Annealed silver tubing for tube rivets (I will have available)

Please note: I recommend you pre-make jump rings for your project.
