This intermediate class is in cold connections is a good choice
for people who have already learned how to drill, saw, and file,
and can make basic wire rivets and tube rivets. In Cold
Connections and Colored Metal you will learn to make the
following connectors to join and embellish your metal components:
stamped wire rivets, invisible telescoping tube rivets, split
tube rivets, tabs, and invisible wire rivets. You will also learn
how to color anodized aluminum for use in your cold connected
designs. You should have a sample of each skill taught in class
by the end of the weekend and a good start on your bracelet.
Pre-requisite: Able to drill holes, saw, and file. Can make
basic wire and tube rivets. |

What to bring to class:
-Staz On solvent ink pad in black.
-Fine Point (important) Sharpie colored permanent ink markers
in
a few of your favorite colors.
-Pencil.
-1/8 and 3/32 silver, brass or copper tubing.
-6 inches each of 12, 14, 16 and 18 g dead soft wire (silver,
brass or copper).
-20 gauge sterling silver, copper, or brass sheet metal
enough
for metal pieces for your bracelet.
-Notebook
-Scissors
-Rubber Stamps
-Optional: Jump rings to connect your bracelet. Use your judgment
as to what size.
Available for purchase in class:
24 gauge anodized aluminum. Sheet metal and tubing will also
be available.
Please dont bring other tools to class. I will have
everything you need. |
