The Saw

When I started compiling information for this tour I underestimated how many tools I actually use to do my work. This reminds me of my first step into designing jewelry when my sister, Kathy, and I happily bounced from one bead tray to the next in a local bead store. I commented, "Well, this looks pretty simple, and so few tools are needed".

A saw is not needed for most wire work. However, if you are going to be using tubing, you will need a saw and a tubing jig will certainly make your life easier. I purchased the 3 ¼ frame that you see in the picture before realizing that a 6 inch frame is much more versatile.

A saw is necessary if you want to expand your skills into using Sheet Metal
Sheet Metal Shapes in your designs. The following table will tell you what saw blade size is needed to cut a particular thickness of Sheet Metal
Sheet Metal Shapes.
