| Studio Tour - Work Surface |
| |
|
|
No need to be fancy. I started out on a very inexpensive table
that worked just as well as the one I have now. Table height
is important in order to reduce back, shoulder and neck strain.
The feet should rest flat on the floor with thighs parallel to
the floor. Arms and shoulders should be able to function
in a neutral, relaxed state. |

| Having a large table surface is
certainly a plus - I find it a personal challenge to cover every
inch of it. My table never looks like the above photo!
Part of the surface is covered with a piece of black rawhide
which provides a good contrasting background for my wire work.
Another section is covered with a white towel. Just a plain ole
white towel from the linen closet. The white background is important
for seeing bead colors accurately when I design a piece. |
