Prong-Stone Setting System

Do you know what I use this for most of the time? Making wire and tube rivets. Instead of spending time tapping those edges down to get them flush with the metal, I use these little tools. I simply select the proper fitting tool, place it over the rivet and tap the top with a rawhide hammer. The edges then curve down beautifully. This tool is not meant to replace the hammering you do to make a rivet, it is meant to finish the last stage of rivet-making. Of course, you can use it to set prongs as well! There are 18 tempered punches in this set ranging from 2 mm to 6 mm in diameter. The handle is made of hardwood and the system comes in a wood box. [THM-0380].
