These heavy-duty, precision cutters will will cut up to 12 gauge wire. It is important to avoid using cutters designed for lighter gauges on heavy wire. These cutters allow you to cut in small, tight spaces although, for maximum longevity, cut your wire towards the back of the jaws. The cutters have a micro-bevel edge, a lap joint with screw, and a double leaf spring. They are 4.92 inches long and the cutter length is .63". Please note that these pliers are not designed to cut steel wire (memory wire). (Lindstrom #8160) [TPL-0503].
