Needle File Cut 4 - Finest Cut

Available in 3 cuts. These Grobet Swiss made, precision needle files are made of the highest quality steel and are finished for precision shape, accuracy and balance. They are used to file flat surfaces - great for removing those little burs and mars made with your pliers. File with the coarsest cut first (Cut 0), and then with the medium cut (Cut 2), and end with the finest cut (Cut 4). Teeth are on both sides, knurled handles,. 6-1/4" in length. Cut 4 - Finest Cut. Resist the temptation to file back and forth with this tool as the teeth will only cut in the forward direction. You may even shorten the life of your file by going against the “grain”. You can use a bench pin, a rubber block or a piece of wood clamped to your table to file on. If your metal needs a lot of filing, start with a coarse file (#0), then use a medium file (#2) and work down to a fine file (#4). For some filing jobs, the medium #2 file will be sufficient.
