Jump Ringer System - FAQ

Questions and Answers:

Q: How quickly can you ship the Jump Ringer System to me?

A: If your order is placed before noon on a weekday, in most cases your equipment can be sent the same day it is ordered. It will be sent via UPS and a $1.00 flat fee is added on for handling and packaging.

Q: Can I use a Dremel with the Jump Ringer System?

A: No. It is not powerful enough to operate your Jump Ringer. I have spoken with the manufacturer several times about this issue and he emphatically says it will not work. So sorry.

Q: What do I do if I need help operating the Jump Ringer System?

A: Your equipment will come with a contact for tech support.

Q: I don't know whether I should get the Standard Jump Ringer or the High Production Jump Ringer. Can you help me make up my mind?

A: What are you going to use the Jump Ringer System for? If you only occasionally make jewelry and have no plans to increase your production, then the Standard Jump Ringer System will be perfect. If you currently make a lot of jewelry, or your plans are to move in this direction, then you might consider the High Production option. Also, if you are a chain maker, a High Production model will save you time in the end. The High Production coil holder is almost 3 times longer than the Standard Jump Ringer model - this means hundreds of jump rings with one pass of the saw. It is not very economical to purchase the Standard Jump Ringer and then move up to the High Production option. Purchasing either model as a set is the best buy.

Q: I would like to make jump rings of different shapes. Will this system do this for me?

A: You need a special coil holder called a "multi-shape coil holder" and a mandrel set of the shape you want to make. Please contact me and these items can be special ordered for you.

Q: Can I use the special shape mandrels in the round coil holder?

A: No, the round coil holder is designed to be used only with round mandrels.

Q: I have a "CC" (1/10 horsepower) model flexible shaft. Will it work with the Jump Ringer System?

A: According to the manufacturer, the CC model will work, although with heavier gauge wire it will work harder than the "S" model, and the life of your flex shaft will be shortened somewhat.

Q: I would like to use my electric drill with the drill stand. Can I purchase this separately?

A: Yes. Remember, you need a flex shaft so you will have foot pedal to operate the drill.

Q: Can I make jump rings with twisted wire with this system?

A: Yes. They turn out beautifully.

Q: Can I cut platinum, titanium, steel, or niobium with the Jump Ringer System?

A: No. You need the Jump Ringer All-Metals Saw to accomplish this. Please contact me if you are interested in this equipment.

Q: What if I want to return the Jump Ringer System?

A: I want you to be 100% thrilled with your products. If for any reason you are not satisfied, please return the product in its original condition within 10 days for a full refund on the merchandise.
